A selection of Images from the project “The Solitude of Modern Man as Portrayed in Contemporary Cinema” exhibited during The Transilvania International Film Festival - TIFF 2017
Each image is derived from a few seconds from a film scene, whereby an algorithm captures individual lines during that period while seeking to keep the subtitles intact. The book project contains approximately 150 of these images compiled in such a way that they form a new narrative. The films used were themselves films about the making of a film, and they include:
Fellini “8 1/2”
Godard “Le Mépris” (Contempt)
Fassbinder “Warnung vor einer heiligen Nutte” (Beware of a Holy Whore)
