The Investigation: Tante Loulou and Ammo Robert

#08 -  This photograph of Tante Loulou, the woman who raised me the first 8 or 9 years of my life, my mother's sister, resides on a roll where Rora is wearing her black-and-white top which I have established is from 1991.

However, I don't have to look for any clues to know that just by the look on Loulou's face that this is the first day I had seen her since 1975. During the 15 years of war we had no contact whatsoever, and here she beams that we're reunited.

#08 - Earlier that morning and on the same roll of film, Tante Loulou and Ammo Robert (ammo = uncle) on their balcony in Baabdat for their daily morning breakfast ritual consisting of turkish coffee and pills, before heading back to Antelias to their very humble pied-a-terre at the Golden Beach Hotel, where he drops her off and goes to his hardware store, which he's owned since the 1960's, in the same district to work all day. Note the baby blue Izod shirt which will help identify other rolls of the same day, as he had a massive collection of polo type shirts which he cycled through.

#01 - Ammo Robert running the show in his hardware store in Antelias. To his right is the son of Robert's former partner Emile who inherited a portion of the partnership from his father who passed away several years prior. In the very left frame is the woman that Mr. Kharrat is engaged to and who is also employed as an accountant in the business. I do not recall her name.

#01 - As an aside, this is a portrait of Ammo Robert and the mayor of Antelias, whom my uncle summoned to ask him to expedite the processing of my application for a new passport.

#04 - At the end of the work day, Ammo Robert waiting for a rotisserie chicken with the compulsory mashed garlic condiment to take back to the hotel room where the couple spends some of their weekdays and nights.

#01 - Halfway through roll 01, the accountant's brother shows up and agrees to take me along around town in his car while he runs some errands.  I also do not remember his name and I will refer to him as the accountant's brother.
